Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
relative self-ignition temperature (solids)
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2014
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study with acceptable restrictions
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.16 (Relative Self-Ignition Temperature for Solids)
Deviations:
no
Principles of method if other than guideline:
The test substance was examined for spontaneous ignition behaviour in the apparatus according to Grewer. The results of this method compared to the results of a test in an oven according to A.16 are considered to be more conservative. The wire mesh of the Grewer Oven has a cylindrical shape. The continuous air supply into the Grewer Oven leads to lower self-ignition temperatures.
GLP compliance:
no
Remarks on result:
other: does not undergo spontaneous combustion

The wire mesh basket was empty after the measurement. (A16-Oven, 0.5 K/min).

Conclusions:
1,2-Propanediamine, N1-(2-aminoethyl)-3-(4-ethoxyphenyl)-, dihydrochloride, (2S)- ) does not undergoing spontaneous combustion. No auto flammability was observed up to 420°C.
Executive summary:

According to the European guideline method 'EU Method A.16 (Relative Self-Ignition Temperature for Solids) 1,2-Propanediamine, N1-(2-aminoethyl)-3-(4-ethoxyphenyl)-, dihydrochloride, (2S)- ) does not undergo spontaneous combustion.

Description of key information

1,2-Propanediamine, N1-(2-aminoethyl)-3-(4-ethoxyphenyl)-, dihydrochloride, (2S)- ) does not undergoing spontaneous combustion.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
420 °C

Additional information

Should read >420°C.
