Materials and methods

Test guideline
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Principles of method if other than guideline:
The water solubility is determined according to “Flask Method” in “OECD 105 Water
Solubility”. Excessive sample is put in water at 30℃, when saturation is achieved, the mixture
is cooled and kept at 20℃. The mass concentration of the target analyte in the aqueous solution,
can be determined by appropriate method.
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:

Results and discussion

Water solubility
Water solubility:
> 1 000 g/L
Conc. based on:
not specified
Temp.:
20 °C
Remarks on result:
completely miscible
Details on results:
At 20℃, the mixtures of the sample and
water were all homogeneous and transparent,
and no separation into layers, according to the
following ratios:
1:100 (pH = 2.68);
1:10 (pH = 2.13);
1:1 (pH = 3.26);
10:1 (pH = 6.18);
100:1 (pH = 7.61);
Conclusion: The water solubility is >1000
g/L, and the sample is mutually soluble with
water.
