Description of key information

The toxicity of Ethoxylated phenol phosphate was tested according to OECD guideline 202 and 201 for acute toxicity studies with aquatic invertebrates (Daphnia magna) and algae (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata). No toxic effects on D.magna and P. subcapitata were observed (NOEC ≥ 100 mg/L).

Additional information

Toxicity to invertebrates:

Daphnia magna was exposed for 48 hours to Ethoxylated phenol phosphate in a static short-term toxicity study condcucted according to the OECD guideline 202 (2004) and in compliance with the OECD-GLP principles. The study was conducted as a limit test with 100 mg/L. No effect on D. magna was observed. The nominal test concentration was confirmed analytically by HPLC with UV detection method. Therefore, the NOEC equals or is above 100 mg/L.

Toxicity to algae:

The freshwater algae Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata was exposed for 72 hours to Ethoxylated phenol phosphate in a static short-term toxicity study conducted according to the OECD guideline 201 (2006) and in compliance with the OECD-GLP principles. The study was conducted as a limit test with 100 mg/L. No effect on P. subcapitata was observed. The nominal test concentration was confirmed analytically by HPLC with UV detection method. Therefore, the NOEC equals or is above 100 mg/L.
