Additional information

Data on the physical and chemical properties of Ceraphyl 55 have been taken from a series of unpublished proprietary reports. The study reports were reviewed and assessed for relevance and reliability using Klimisch scores (Klimisch et al 1997). Where multiple results are available, the data considered to be most reliable has been used as the key study.

Ceraphyl 55 does not meet the criteria for oxidising or explosive properties. The molecular structure of Ceraphyl 55 does not contain groups which indicate potential reactivity with water or pyrophoric properties and handling of the substance indicates that this is the case. Ceraphyl 55 is not considered to be flammable as the flash point is greater than 60°C.
