Description of key information

The partition coefficient (Pow) of the test item was estimated according to the A8 method and the OECD 117 (HPLC, High Performance Liquid Chromatography), and in GLP. HPLC was performed on a Nova-Pak C18 column packed with solid phase containing long hydrocarbon chains chemically bound onto silica. The test item was eluted along the column by partitioning between the mobile solvent phase and the hydrocarbon stationary phase. The test item was retained in proportion to its hydrocarbon-water partition coefficient. Using reference items a relationship between the retention time on a reverse-phase column and the n-octanol/water partition coefficient was established. Result: LogPow = 0.772 +/- 0.001 at 23°C +/- 2°C at pH 7.45.
