Description of key information

No effects were observed up to its water solubility limit for the test substance. Otherwise, the acrylated analogue was more toxic to aquatic invertebrates with 48h-EC50 = 2.36 mg/L.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The effects of the test item to Daphnia magna exposed for a duration of 48h with semi-static conditions were assessed according to the OECD 202 guideline.

Daphnids were exposed to serial dilutions of a saturated stock solution of the test item prepared with slow-stirring conditions due to the characteristics of the substance. The test substance being instable throughout the test period, NOEC, LOEC, EC10 and EC50 values were statistically calculated based on geometric means of measured concentrations. According to the results obtained, the test substance had no inhibitory effect on the mobility of daphnids after the test period of 48 hours up to its water solubility limit.
