Description of key information

Saturated perfluorocarbons, such as octafluoropropane, are extremely stable to acids and bases, to oxidisers and reducers, and to high temperatures. We can say with confidence that biodegradation will be negliable in all conditions.

Furthermore, octafluoropropane is a gas, boiling at -37°C, and will quickly disappear from water and soil. This also makes testing considerably more difficult. We therefore consider environmental tersting to be unnecessary.

The attached document offers more details.
