Description of key information

According to the OECD guideline 113 criteria the test item was considered to be thermal stable at room temperature as no decomposition or chemical transformation was found below 150 °C.

Additional information

A study was conducted according to OECD TG 133 to determine the thermal stability of the test item using DSC measurement. The test item was weighed in under an inert atmosphere (nitrogen) into the glass crucible. The upper end of the crucible was closed by melting with an oxyhydrogen flame. The crucible was then check-weighed with an accuracy of 0.01 mg. As reference crucible, a glass crucible with aluminium oxide was used. As reference crucible, a glass crucible with aluminium oxide was used. For the test on thermal stability, the crucibles were heated up from room temperature to 300 °C with a heating rate of 3 K/min. The test item in a closed glass crucible showed a small exothermic effect in the temperature range of 135 – 210 °C, with energy of approximately -30 J/g. According to the OECD guideline 113 criteria the test item was considered to be thermal stable at room temperature as no decomposition or chemical transformation was found below 150 °C. No observations were made which might cause doubts concerning the validity of the study outcome.
