Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In a 72 hours algae growth inhibition test the EC50 was found to be >800 mg/L, the EC10 was found to be 611.04 mg/L.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
611.04 mg/L

Additional information

The substance Cyclohexanaminium, N,N,N-trimethyl-, sulfate (2:1) was not tested for the endpoint toxicity to aquatic algae. To cover the endpoint data from the structural analogue substance Cyclohexanaminium, N,N,N-trimethyl-, hydroxide (1:1) was used. The growth of green algae exposed to the test item was investigated in a 72 hour static test. As a result, the EC50 value was found to be > 800 mg/L and the EC10 value was 611.04 mg/L (nominal concentrations, based on growth rate).
