Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

The substance Cyclohexanaminium, N,N,N-trimethyl-, sulfate (2:1) was not tested for the endpoint biodegradation in water. To cover the endpoint data from the structural analogue substance Cyclohexanaminium, N,N,N-trimethyl-, hydroxide (1:1) was used.

The conclusion that Trimethylcyclohexylammonium hydroxid, aqueous solution 50 wt.% was not readily biodegradable in this DOC Die Away test based on the determination of the decrease of the DOC content of test substance in the test assays. The DOC values at the respective sampling days were compared to the DOC values determined on day 0 at begin of exposure. The required pass level for ready biodegradability within a ten days window was not reached. At the end of exposure after 28 days the degree of biodegradation was <10 % expressed as removal of DOC.
