Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

A 48 hour EC50 value of 24 mg/l and NOEC value of 9.3 mg/l, based on measured geometric mean concentrations, have been reported for the effects of α-methylenebenzyl acetate on mobility of Daphnia magna.

During validation of the analytical method the test item was stable under the test conditions without test organism.

Considerable loss of test material was experienced during the test with the Daphnia present.

At the beginning and at the end of the test, the content of the test item in the test solutions was determined using gas chromatography. The measured concentrations were in the range 97 - 100 % of the nominal concentration at the start of the test. At the end of the test the measured concentrations were only in the range 0 - 14 % of the nominal concentrations.

Therefore determination of the biological results was based on the geometric mean of the measured concentrations.
