Phototransformation in air
A calculation based on an 24h-average concentration of 0.5x10E6 OH/cm3 ave a half-life of TPP of 35.5 hours.
Hydrolysis
Half lives of 3 d (pH 9), 19 d (pH 7) and more than 28 d (pH 5) at 25 °C are reported (Mayer et al. 1981). All studys indicate TPP is relatively stable in acid media but hydrolyses in alkaline media.
Phototransformation in water
TPP degradates rapidly (within 1.04 min.) when irradiated at 254 nm at pH 3 and pH 10.
