Short-term toxicity to fish:

Key study: The 96h-LC50 for Potassium acetate was greater than 496.35 mg/L with Brachydanio rerio (new name: Danio rerio) (basis for effect: mortality). Test method was according to OECD 203.

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates:

Key study: The 48h-EC50 for Potassium acetate was greater than 459.5 mg/L with Daphnia magna (basis for effect: mobility). Test method was according to OECD 202.

Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria:

Key study: The 72h- EC50 value for Potassium Acetate was greater than 500 mg/L with Skeletonema costatum. The NOEC value was estimated to be 500 mg/L. Study according to ISO guideline and GLP compliance.

Toxicity to microorganisms:

Key study: Read-across from experimental data on the category analogue Sodium Acetate. The estimated 16h-EC50 for Pseudomonas putida with the substance Potassium acetate is calculated to be 8.62 g/L.
