Principles of method if other than guideline:
- Principle of test:
The test item is almost insoluble thus a sample of the test item at a concentration of 0.1 g/L was dispersed in the dilution water and partly dissolved by using ultrasonic device. The total volume for one dilution was 1000 ml for preliminary and limit test.
Organisms: 3 in preliminary and 10 in limit test

- Short description of test conditions:
The dilution water should have a pH of ca 7.8 and saturated with oxygen at a temperature 20 – 24°C.
Test duration 96 hours, the temperature of the solutions 21.0 ± 1.0 °C.

- Parameters analysed / observed:
mortality at 48 and 96 h

GLP compliance:
no
Specific details on test material used for the study:
Other name: Versalová červeň 2G
Analytical monitoring:
no
Details on test solutions:

TEST MEDIUM / WATER PARAMETERS
Dilution water: standard dilution water was prepared by mixing 2.5 ml of stock solutions (A,B,C,D) with 1000 ml distilled water
A) 117.6 g CaCl3.2H2O in 1L of distilled water
B) 49.3 g MgSO4.7H2O in 1L of distilled water
C) 25.9 g NaHCO3 in 1L of distilled water
D) 2.3 g KCl in 1L of distilled water
The dilution water should have a pH of ca 7.8 and is saturated with oxygen at a temperature 20 – 24°C.
