Description of key information
The structural analogue n-butyl glycidyl ether (source substance) was used in read-across to assess the toxicity of the target substance. Due to the fact that both target and source substance has the same identical group that is considered to cause the adverse effects in tems of induction of carcinogenicity.
As the source substance, n-BGE is is harmonized classified as Carc 2, H351 according to Annex VI of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, classification as Carc 2, H351 is warranted for the target substance.
