Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusions:
The results indicate that 2.7% by mass of Benzethonium chloride is smaller than 10 um.
Executive summary:

The particle size distribution was initially examined using sieve analysis. As greater than 10% by weight of the test substance was found to pass a 75 micron sieve, it was further examined by image analysis based upon the procedure described in BS3406, Part A, 1993. The results indicate that 2.7% by mass of Benzethonium chloride is smaller than 10 um. The test item was observed to consist of irregular and semi transparent particles.

Description of key information

The particle size distribution was initially examined using sieve analysis. The results indicate that 2.7% by mass of Benzethonium chloride is smaller than 10 um. The test item was observed to consist of irregular and semi transparent particles.
