The log Pow of acetonitrile (read-across) was determined to be -0.34.

The substance reacts violently while testing. Read across to acetonitrile was conducted. Three independent publications were therefore evaluated. The published log Pow values for acetonitrile are -0.34 (Hansch, C., 1967), -0.54 (Tanii, H.1984) and -0.74 (Rainey, et al 1993). The publication by Hansch, C. was regarded as most reliable as this study is scientifically acceptable and cited in many relevant databases. Therefore the log Pow of -0.34 was chosen as key parameter.
