The administration of the test substance by inunction on the rabbit skin led to a LD50 of 16.3 mL/kg (range 13.2 -20.2 mL/kg)

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The LD50 for rabbits by skin penetration with the test substance 2-ethoxyethanol has been determined to be 3.56 mL/kg. The corresponding value for an uncovered skin treatment (rubbed into skin by gentle massage) was 16.3 mL/kg.
