Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Effects on developmental toxicity

Description of key information
The lowest NOAEL was determined in the rat with a value of 25 µL/kg/day (23 mg/kg/day with a density of 0.919 g/mL at 25 °C). The doses were administered orally during gestation (key data from Stenger 1971).
For the chemical safety assessment of inhalation exposure a LOAEC derived from a subacute inhalative toxicity study (daily 6 hours during gestation, 10 ppm corresponding to 37.4 mg/m³) in rat (Doe et al. 1984, key study for developmental toxicity, see Endpoint record 7.8.2.001) was used.
