Description of key information

In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the surface tension need only be conducted if, based on the structure surface activity is expected or can be predicted, or if surface activity is a desired property of the material. Furthermore, if the water solubility is below 1 mg/L at 20 °C, the test does not need to be conducted. Surface tension is not expected or predicted and is not a desired property of the material. Furthermore, water solubility cannot be determined as it reacts quickly in water to form 3,5-dichlorobenzoic acid; determination of the surface tension of the original compound could not be performed.
