Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

According to Annex VII Column 2 no study towards autoflammability has to be conducted if the substance is either a liquid non flammable in under air (flash point over 200 °C) or if previous tests show that no self-heating occurs up to 400 °C.

For the freeze-dried material, the latter was shown via DSC measurements, and for the substance as it is produced the firstmentioned waiver applies, as it is produced only as solution in water.
