Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Read-across substance, EU Method C.4-E, GLP, key study, validity 2:
83% biodegradation after 28 days, within the 10d window

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Additional information

No data is available on the substance itself. However, a reliable experimental study, conducted according to EU Method C.4 -E with GLP statement, is available on an analogue.

Based on chemical similarity (isomers with different position of the alkyl group), no significant difference is anticipated with the present dossier substance, so the read-across is considered justified for a key study.

In this study, a degradation of 83 % within 28 days (and within the 10 day window) was observed for the analogue substance. Therefore, this test susbstance and the registered substance can be considered readily biodegradable.
