The hydrolysis potential of the registered substance was not investigated experimentally due to the low water solubility of the substance; a waiving argument has been provided in accordance with REACH Annex VIII, Column 2. This waiver is supported by a read-across study conducted on silicone dioxide, which is structurally similar to the registered substance. Silicone dioxide did not rapidly hydrolyse in the study.
