Additional information

One guideline conform algae study conducted according to OECD 201, EU-Method C.3 is available for NBPT (Ward and Boeri, 1990). Algae (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, former Selenastrum capricornutum) were tested in a 96 h dose-response toxicity test at nominal concentrations of 0, 75, 125, 250, 500 and 1000 mg/L under static conditions in accordance with GLP-requirements. The resulting EC50(96 h) for algae was 280 mg/L based on nominal concentrations, the NOEC (96 h) was determined to be 75 mg/L. The EC50(72 h) was calculated to be 530 mg/L.
