Additional information

A study on the hydrolysis of the test substance NBPT was conducted by Skinner and McKemie (1996) according to the EPA-guideline OTS 796.3500. The study was conducted in compliance with GLP requirements. In the test the hydrolysis of NBPT was investigated in two phases under different conditions. The resulting dissipation half-lives of the parent compound were 58 min (at pH 3), 92 d (at pH 7) and 16 d (at pH 11) at 25 °C, respectively.

In a supplement to the hydrolysis study, the major hydrolysis products were identified as N-(n-butyl) thiophosphoric diamide and butylamine by HPLC.
