Conclusion on classification

The information concerning the aquatic toxicity of Tetramethyltrimethylenediamine (TMPDA) are summarized hereafter:

Acute toxicity to fish: LC50_96h > 100 mg/L

Acute toxicity to daphnia: EC50_48h = 52.8 mg/L

Long-term toxicity to daphnia: NOEC = 0.44 mg/L

Toxicity to algae: ErC50_72h = 10 mg/L and ErC10_72h = 1.1 mg/L

TMPDA is not readily biodegradable and has a log Kow < 1.

Based on these results, here is the classification for TMPDA:

Dangerous substance directive: R51/53

Classification Labelling & Packaging: H411 (Chronic 2)
