Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Thise endpoint can be waived because the substance does not melt under 240°C and starts to decompose at 295°C, so the vapour pressure will be low.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Based on its multiple carboxylic acid salt functionality the pure substance will have a negligibly low vapor pressure. Because of its high polarity the substance always contains a few % of water so the vapour pressure exhibited by this substance is expected to be that of the adherent water.

The low vapour pressure is supported by EPI Suite: the vapour pressure of EDTA-CaNa2 is calculated to be 4.10E-17Pa at 25°C.
