Additional information

Data for the physico-chemical properties of lead bis(tetrafluoroborate) were provided based on studies for the following endpoints: rel. density and pH. The other endpoints according to the REACH requirements for physico-chemical testing are based on data waiving due to long time experiences in handling or the consideration that testing is not scientifically justified, since the substance is produced, marked and used in an aqueous solution (500 g/L lead bis(tetrafluoroborate)). The submitter of the dossier states that the substance is not stable by drying up to a concentration of 100% (w/w). Drying the solution (>67% (w/w) lead bis(tetrafluoroborate) leads to the precipitation of a lead fluoride component.
