Description of key information

The melting temperature of 3,3,5-trimethylcyclohexanone was determined by differential scanning calorimetry according to OECD Test Guideline 102 (1995) and EU test method A.1 (2008). The result was -11.7°C at 1008.6 hPa.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
-11.7 °C

Additional information

The melting point was determined at 100 860 Pa instead of 101 325 Pa. The effect of this difference in pressure on the melting point is considered to be negligible.
