Description of key information

The water solubility of the test substance at 20°C based on barium was 0.4 - 1.5 mg/l. The lead part of the test substance was not water soluble and therefore a value of <0.1 mg/l is issued. The pH of the aqueous samples was 7.4 – 7.5.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The flask method and column elution method were applied for the determination of the water solubility of Silicic acid (H2Si2O5), barium salt (1:1), lead-doped. The column elution method was considered to be the most adequate method for the test substance and therefore reported. The water solubility of the test substance at 20°C based on barium was 0.4 - 1.5 mg/l. The lead part of the test substance was not water soluble and therefore a value of <0.1 mg/l is used. The pH of the aqueous samples was 7.4 – 7.5.
