Results and discussion

Water solubility
Water solubility:
293.2 g/L
Temp.:
25 °C
Remarks on result:
other: pH 9.95-10.03
Details on results:
The standards used for the quantification of the test item in the test solutions showed satisfactory agreement through the run and between them. The % RSD of the area of the 5 injections of Standard 1A was within the 5% acceptance criteria. The % RSD of the retention time of the 5 injections of Standard 1A was also within the 1% acceptance criteria, therefore confirming the suitability of the method.

Injection 1 Injection 2 Mean pH
Test 1 292425 293750 29.31 10.03
Test 2 291225 291425 29.13 9.99
Test 3 294388 295850 29.51 9.95
Test 4 292038 293250 29.26 9.89
Test 5 291525 293263 29.24 9.84
OECD Guideline 105 states that if the concentrations measured in at least the two of the last Tests (e.g Test 2 and Test 3) do not differ by more than 15%, as it is the case in this study, the test is satisfactory.
The average result from Test 1, Test 2 and Test 3 was reported as a final result for the water solubility test:
29.3 % w/v at 25 C +/- 1 C

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): very soluble (> 10000 mg/L)
The water solubility of the test material was determined to be 293.2 g/l in this study. Therefore the test material is very soluble in water.
