In the preliminary test the test item could not be ignited. Based on the results of the preliminary test, no main test was performed.
The purpose of this test was to determine the burning rate of the test material as received. The substance was filled into a fire train mould 250 mm long with a triangular cross section of height 10 mm and width 20 mm. After tapping the mould, to settle down the powder, it was inverted onto an impervious non-combustible plate of low thermal conductivity and the mould was removed. An ignition source (Micro-torch flame) was placed at one end of the pile for 2 minutes. In the preliminary test, the substance turned black. A small orange flame was produced which did not spread. A full test had therefore not to be carried out. The substance is not classified as highly flammable.
The key value is taken from a GLP study conducted in accordance with the procedure described in EU Regulation (EC) 440/2008, Annex Part A test A10
The above results triggered no classification under the CLP Regulation (EC No 1272/2008).
