Description of key information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

not classified

Additional information

As the substance is a liquid, the relevant endpoint for flammable properties is the flashpoint. A reliable experimental study is presented under section 4.11.

Based on the chemical structure and experience, no flammable properties are anticipated if contact with air or water, therefore studies were deemed unnecessary.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the above information and according to the criteria of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 December 2008, Tributyl(ethyl) phosphonium diethylphosphate is NOT classified as flammable, pyrophoric liquid or substance which, in contact with water, emits flammable gases.
