Description of key information

Based on the amid group hydrolysis might be possible but with the exception of a few halogenated acetamides, most amides hydrolyze to acids extremely slowly at 25 °C and pH7 with half-lives measured in centuries with the exception of only a few halogenated acetamides (Hydrowin v2.00). Therefore hydrolysis of 4-(octadecylamino)-4-oxoisocrotonic acid (CAS 3077-27-8) is not considered to be a relevant degradation pathway in the environment.
