With the given test conditions at about 190 °C (onset-temperature) the beginning of an exothermic peak was visible.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Based on the result of this screening test it can´t be excluded that the sample will fulfil the criterion of the transport class 4.2 “self heating substances. Thus, further tests are required for a final assessment. According to the UN “Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of tests & Criteria”, Annex 6, point 5.2.2, the classification procedure for self-heating substances need not be applied if the result of a suitable screening test (e.g. Grewer-oven, VDI 2263) shows an onset temperature (exothermic reaction) >220 °C.
