oxidising solids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the organic substance contains oxygen or halogen atoms which are chemically bonded only to carbon or hydrogen and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied
Justification for type of information:
In a statement (in study report 518012) it was concluded that the substance has no oxidizing properties.

In accordance with the screening procedure as described in UN Manual of Tests and Criteria: Appendix 6 "Screening procedures for substances which may have oxidizing properties", the classification procedure for oxidizing substances in Division 5.1 does not need to be applied.

Description of key information

The substance has no oxidising properties, due to the absence of chemical groups that might act as an oxidizing agent in the molecular structure of the substance.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
non oxidising

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

As the substance has no oxidising properties, it does not need to be classified as an oxidising solid.
