Description of key information

In accordance with point 7.13, Column 2, Annex VII of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, this study does not need to be conducted if the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials on the basis of its chemical structure (e.g. organic substances that contain oxygen, fluorine or chlorine and these elements are chemically bonded to carbon or hydrogen only). Based on the structural formula, the substance does not have functional groups associated with oxidising properties. Testing is therefore not required.

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

In accordance with the screening criteria for oxidising properties in section 2.1.4.4.1 of Regulation EC 1272/2008 and section 6 of the UN Recommendations of the Transport of Dangerous Goods Manual of Test and Criteria (5th revised edition) structural analysis of the molecule concluded that the substance is not an oxidiser. Therefore the substance is not classified as oxidising in accordance with Annex I of Regulation EC 1272/2008 (CLP).
