Description of key information
Fatty acids, C12-20 and C12-20-unsatd., 2-ethylhexyl esters are a clear, low viscosity, yellow to amber coloured liquid at 25 ºC. The melting point of Fatty acids, C12-20 and C12-20-unsatd., 2 -ethylhexyl esters is below -20 ºC and the boiling point cannot be determined as the substance degrades before the boiling point is reached. The density of Fatty acids, C12-20 and C12-20-unsatd., 2 -ethylhexyl esters was measured to be 0.874 g/mL at 20 oC. The vapour pressure of Lankroplast V3000 was calculated to be <0.25 mPa at 25 ºC. The partition coefficient of Lankroplast V3000 was calculated using EPIsuite and it is found to be in the range 8.5 ≤ Log Kow ≤ 12.6. The partition coefficient was also measured and it was concluded that log Pow was >5.7. The water solubility of Fatty acids, C12-20 and C12-20-unsatd., 2-ethylhexyl esters (CAS Number 91001-42-2 EC Number 292-811-3) V3000 was calculated to be less than 0.592 µg/L. The flash point of Fatty acids, C12-20 and C12-20-unsatd., 2-ethylhexyl esters is in the range 170-180 ºC. The auto-ignition temperature of Fatty acids, C12-20 and C12-20-unsatd., 2-ethylhexyl esters cannot be determined as the substance begins to degrade before the autoignition point is reached. The test substance (CAS Number 91001-42-2) is a non-flammable, non-oxidising and non-explosive liquid. The viscosity of Fatty acids, C12-20 and C12-20-unsatd., 2-ethylhexyl esters is typically 270 mPa s at 25 oC.
