Description of key information

The explosive properties of the test substance, Terpenes and terpenoids, turpentine oil, beta-pinene fraction polymerised, was predicted in a procedure compatible with Method A.14 Explosive Properties of Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008 of 30 May 2008.

The structure of the test material was assessed for chemical groups implying explosive properties, including C-C unsaturated, C-metal, N-metal, contiguous nitrogen atoms, contiguous oxygen atoms, N-halogens, O-halogens and N-O.

Since there were no structural alerts within the structure of the test material, based on the evaluation of data criteria, it can be concluded that Terpenes and terpenoids, turpentine oil, beta-pinene fraction polymerised is predicted negative for explosive properties.
