Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
oxidising gases
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a liquid
Reason / purpose for cross-reference:
reference to other study
Endpoint:
oxidising liquids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied
the study does not need to be conducted because the organic substance contains oxygen or halogen atoms which are chemically bonded only to carbon or hydrogen and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied

no

Additional information

The paste-like substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials on the basis of the chemical structure.

Justification for classification or non-classification

DSD (67/548/EEC): Based on the molecular structure of the substance and taking into account the provisions laid down in Directive 67/548/EEC (DSD) the test item does not have to be classified with respect to oxidising properties.

GHS/CLP (Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008): Based on the chemical structure, the physikal state and taking into account the provisions laid down in Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 the substance is not considered to be classified as oxidising gases, oxidising liquids or oxidising solids.
