Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

A 48-hour EC50 value of 124 mg/L and NOEC of <60 mg/L have been determined for the effects of trimethylsilanol on mobility/mortality of Daphnia magna based on mean measured concentrations.

In view of the test media preparation method/exposure regime it is likely that the test organisms were exposed predominantly to the tested substance. However, at the higher concentrations tested (500 and 1000 mg/l) it is likely that hexamethyldisiloxane (HMDS) would be formed and would therefore contribute to the species present in the test system.
