Administrative data
First-aid measures
General: Remove contaminated clothing and shoes, and launder thoroughly before reusing.
After inhalation: Supply fresh air. Consult a doctor in case of complaints
After eye contact: Rinse immediately opened eye for at least 15 minutes under running water. Consult a doctor.
After swallowing: Rinse mouth with plenty of water and drink plenty of water.
After skin contact: Wash immediately with water and soap and rinse thoroughly.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing agents:
Use fire extinguishing methods suitable to surrounding conditions.
CO2, powder or water spray. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam.
Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device
Wear fully protective suit.
Additional information:
Collect contaminated fire fighting water separately. It must not enter the sewage system.
Dispose of fire debris and contaminated fire fighting water in accordance with official regulations.
Accidental release measures
Person-related safety precautions: Avoid formation of dust. Wear protective clothing.
Measures for environmental protection:
Do not allow to enter sewers/surface or ground water.
Inform respective authorities in case of seepage into water course or sewer system.
Measures for cleaning/collecting:
Pick up mecanically the powder and send for recovery or disposal in suitable containers.
Do not use a dry brush as dust clouds can be created.
Don't wash the dirty area with water which could sweep along the substance and enter sewer systems or ground water.
If the substance is released as liquid form, collect with an adsorbent material an send for recovery or disposal in suitable containers.
Handling and storage
Handling:
Information on safe handling:
Information about fire and explosion protection: no special measures required.
Keep away from sources of ignition - refrain from smoking. Dust can form an explosive mixture with air.
Take precautionary measures against static charges.
Handle under a basic standard of general ventilation (1 to 3 air changes per hour).
Wear chemically resistant gloves (tested to EN374).
In general the usual precautionary measures are to be adhered to when handling chemicals
No further special precautions are necessary if used correctly.
Storage:
Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles: Store in cool, dry conditions in well sealed receptacles.
Information about storage in one common storage facility: Store away from foodstuffs.

Exposure controls / personal protection
General protective measures:
Do not breathe dust.
Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
Take off immediately all contaminated clothing.
Hygiene measures:
Keep away from food and drink stuffs.
Do not eat, drink or smoke at work.
Wash hands before breaks and at end of work and use skin-protecting ointment.
Respiratory protection : Dust mask with particle filter.
Hand protection : Wear suitable gloves e.g. of PVC or nitrile rubber. In the event of contamination, change protective gloves immediately.
Eye protection : safety glasses with side protection shield
Body protection : Wear protective clothing.
Stability and reactivity
No hazardous reactions when stored and handled according to prescribed instructions.
Thermal decomposition: from approx. 160 °C
Hazardous reactions: may cause dust explosion
Disposal considerations
Product: If utilisation or recycling of the product is not possible, it should be disposed of according to the local regulations and laws, e. g. by incineration in a suitable plant.
European Waste Catalogue (EWC) code: 040216 Dyestuffs and pigments containing dangerous substances
Uncleaned packaging: Soiled, empty containers are to be treated in the same way as the contents.
