Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Eyes:
Irrigate eyes with clean water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical advice.
Skin:
Remove contaminated clothing immediately and drench affected skin with plenty of water. Then wash affected areas with soap and water. Wash affected clothing before re-use.
Ingestion:
Seek immediate medical attention.
Inhalation:
Bring affected person to fresh air. If adverse reactions develop or if exposure was moderate or high, seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agents:
Common extinguishing agents such as water fog, carbon dioxide, foam or dry chemical or dry sand can be used.
Products arising from burning or pyrolysis: carbon dioxides
Does this information derive from tests carried out on the substance? No
Protective equipment:
In the event of fire, full breathing apparatus including a chemical cartridge respirator with a carbon monoxide cartridge should be worn.
Accidental release measures
In case of industrial spillage, isolate spilled substance (during this avoid generation of airborne droplets); collect the material using paper towels and place those to a closed container for disposal. Wear suitable protective clothing and transfer material to suitable containers for disposal by landfill. Wash down contaminated areas with plenty of water, using containment to avoid washings reaching drains or surface waters. Totally dispose of according to EU, national and local regulations (authorized waste processing: deposit or combustion).
Handling and storage
Handling:
- Observe general precautions for use of chemical products
- Wear standard protective clothes and instruments
- Keep storage container closed and store in a cool area
- Avoid breathing substance aerosols (droplet aerosols)
- Wash thoroughly after handling
- Ensure correct function of ventilation system
- Minimize generation of airborne substance by handling the substance only at specified sites of the factory

Exposure controls / personal protection
- Observe general precautions for use of chemical products
- Wear standard protective clothes and instruments
- Keep storage container closed and store in a cool area
- Avoid breathing substance aerosols
- Wash thoroughly after handling
- Ensure correct function of ventilation system
- Minimize generation of airborne particles by handling the substance only at specified sites of the factory
Stability and reactivity
Substance has no oxidising properties and no danger of explosion.
Disposal considerations
Substance:
Waste resulting from processing is negligible as the substance is given directly to the vessel for further processing. Waste can be incinerated.
