Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information
Appearance
The test material was observed to be a tan coloured waxy solid.
Melting/freezing point
The melting temperature of the test item was determined to be over the range 28 to 52 °C (301 to 325 K) (OECD 102 and EU Method A.1).
Boiling point
The test item was determined to decompose from approximately 232 °C (505 K) at 101 kPa (OECD 103 and EU Method A.2).
Relative density
The density of the test item was determined to be 937 kg/m3 at 19.0 ± 0.5 °C and the relative density was reported as 0.937 (OECD 109 and EU Method A.3).
Particle size distribution
Granulometry was not investigated because the test item is a waxy solid with determined melting temperature of 28 to 52 °C (301 to 325 K). Particle size influencing toxicological profile is irrelevant because the substance is on the border between the solid and liquid state at ambient temperature. Furthermore, the determined vapour pressure of 1.21 Pa at 154 °C (427 K) indicates that exposure of humans to the test item via the inhalation route is of low concern.
Vapour pressure
Vapour pressure was determined to be 1.75 x 10E-03 Pa at 25 °C (298 K) and 1.21 Pa at 154 °C (427 K) (OECD 104 and EU Method A.4).
Partition coefficient
The partition coefficient of the test item has been determined to be greater than 1.0 x 10E10 with Log10 Pow > 10.0 (OECD 117 and EU Method A.8).
Water solubility
Water solubility of the test item was determined by total organic carbon to be < 1.0 x 10E-03 g/L of solution at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C. The result was based on a nominal loading rate of 0.1 g/L (OECD 105 and EU Method A.6).
Surface tension
The surface tension of solutions prepared at nominally 90 % saturation of test item in water was determined to be 70.5 ± 0.5 mN/m at 21.5 ± 0.5 °C. The substance was not considered to be surface-active (OECD 115 and EU Method A.5).
Flash point
The flash point of the test item was determined to be 249 ± 2 °C using the closed equilibrium cup method (EU Method A.9).
Auto-ignition temperature
The test item was determined to have an autoignition temperature of 390 ± 5 °C (EU Method A.15).
Flammability
The test item has been determined to be not highly flammable as it failed to ignite in the preliminary screening test (EU Method A.10).
Explosive properties
The result for explosive properties was predicted negative based on the chemical structure of the test item (EU Method A.14)
Oxidising properties
The result for oxidising properties was predicted negative based on the chemical structure of the test item (EU Method A.17 and EU Method A.21).
