PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Based on the screening criteria for substance properties characterising the persistence, bioaccumulation potential and toxicity of the substance the substance should not be considered as PBT or vPvB.

Likely routes of exposure:

The substance is imported into the EU and used as transported intermediate under strictly controlled conditions. Rigorous containment of the substance during the whole lifecycle is ensured by technical means, and procedural and control technologies are used to minimise emissions and exposure. Only properly trained and authorised personnel handle the substance; special procedures are in place for cleaning and maintenance; procedural and control technologies are in place for accidental release and waste handling; handling procedures are documented and supervised. Exposure to the substance therefore is not likely and, if occurring accidentally, well controlled and confined to industrial workplaces.
