Key result
Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
< 0.3
Temp.:
25 °C
Remarks on result:
other: only pH value reported was before determination (7.18)
Details on results:
Using the correlation log K / log Pow, the log Pow of the test item was calculated as 0.107 ± 0.000. These values are the means ± standard deviations of three independent determinations. As the calculated log Pow of the test item lies below the lowest log Pow of the reference items (2-Butanone with log Pow 0.3), the log Pow of the test item is stated as < 0.3.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The logPow of the test material has been determined to be < 0.30 at 25 °C. The study was performed according to the OECD TG117 and EU Method A.8 (GLP) without deviations and therefore considered to be of the highest quality (reliability Klimisch 1).The validity criteria are fulfilled.
Executive summary:

The partition coefficient of the test item was determined in a GLP study according to OECD 117 resp. EU Method A.8. Using the HPLC method, The log Pow of the test item was calculated as 0.107 ± 0.000. These values are the means ± standard deviations of three independent determinations. As the calculated log Pow of the test item lies below the lowest log Pow of the reference items (2-Butanone with log Pow 0.3), the log Pow of the test item is stated as < 0.3. No observations were made which might cause doubts concerning the validity of the study outcome.
