Additional information

There are two studies for the C20 -24 sodium sulfonate (Benzenesulfonic acid, mono-C20-24 (even)-sec-alkyl derivs., para-, sodium salts) available determining the flash point of the substance.

In the key study (Tremain, 2015b), the flash point of the substance has been determined using a closed cup equilibrium method designed to be compatible with EU Method A.9. The flash point of the test item has been determined to be 194 ± 2 °C (corrected flash point for 101.3 kPa).

In the supporting study (Tremain, 2015a), the flash point of the substance has also been determined using a closed cup equilibrium method designed to be compatible with EU Method A.9. The flash point of the test item has been determined to be 218 ± 2 °C (corrected flash point for 101.3 kPa).
