Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Based on long-term (chronic) toxicity study data, the test substance is very likely not harmful to aquatic invertebrates.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A GLP guideline study according OECD 211 has been conducted (BASF SE 2017). For the limit test (test concentration of 10 mg/L) a semi-static test design was chosen using a renewal of 3 times per week. Daphnia magna has been exposed for 21 d and the effects on reproduction have been evaluated.

No significant mortality or reduced reproduction were observed in any of the test treatments. Therefore, the data were not sufficient to calculate ECx values for reproduction or mortality.

Since the analytically determined concentrations of the test substance in the test solutions were within the range of ± 20 % of the nominal concentrations, the effect concentration can be expressed relative to the nominal concentration. The LOEC was determined to be > 10 mg/L and the NOEC was determined to be >= 10 mg/L. Therefore, the test substance is very likely not harmful to aquatic invertebrates.
