Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

As stated in the EU method A.14, section 1.1 “the tests need not to be performed when.. [the] absence of certain reactive groups in the structural formula establishes beyond reasonable doubt that the substance is incapable of rapid decomposition with evolution of gases or release of heat (i.e. the material does not present any risk of explosion).”

According to the chemical structure and the list of reactive groups that could have explosive properties (Bretherick’s Handbook of Reactive Chemical Hazards, Butterworths, 4thedition) it can be excluded that the substance has explosive properties.

The results are considered relevant and reliable for the further risk assessment.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Since the substance has no explosive properties, classification is not needed.
