Description of key information

The test item is hydrolytically unstable in pH 4, 7 and 9 buffer solutions with greater than 10% hydrolysis at 50ºC after 5 days.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life for hydrolysis:
29.28 d
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

A study (OECD Guideline 111) was conducted in pH 4, 7 and pH 9 buffer solutions at three different temperatures 25, 40, and 50 ± 0.5°C. Hydrolysis was 52.14 and 52.44, and 90.71% at pH 4, 7, and 9, respectively, using a mean of the 3 test temperatures (25, 40, and 50°C). The test item is considered hydrolytically unstable at pH 4, 7 and 9. Based on these results, aqueous abiotic hydrolysis would be expected to contribute significantly to the degradation of the test item under acidic, neutral and alkaline conditions.
